Favorite Web Sites M.C. Escher Here's one of my favorite artists. The first time I ever saw his art was in Jim Henson's LABYRINTH. Jennifer Connelly had a poster of his hanging in her bedroom. The picture was of staircases that were turned in all impossible directions, defying gravity. This concept was used later on in the film when David Bowie tried one last time to convince Sarah to stay in his kingdom. I've loved Escher ever since.
Thomas Harris This site features the most chilling writer of our time. Thomas Harris wrote the books that influenced the oscar winning role of one of our favorite cult classic killers, "Dr. Hannibal 'the cannibal' Lecter, MD. His books have been very influential to me in many ways and I'm always ready to suggest his work.
H.R. Giger This brilliant surrealists artwork has been used in such films as the ALIEN movies and SPECIES. Some of his ideas were also going to be used in DUNE and BATMAN BEGINS but were scratched due to low budget or just not having enough time to make his designs a reality. But these concepts can still be found online. His work has been a great inspiration to me and has largely influenced my own artwork.
Clive Barker's Lost Souls Clive Barker is - by far - my favorite author. His works are horror fiction. His most famous writings, (that is, the ones that have been made into motion pictures) are as follows; "The Hellbound Heart" - made into the film 'Hellraiser', "Cabal" - made into the film 'Nightbreed', a short story called "The Forbidden" - made into the film 'Candyman', and another short story called "The Last Illusion" - made into the film 'Lord of Illusions.'
These are but a few of his works, but he is also famous for directing and producing as well. His brilliant writing has been the greatest source of inspiration in my own writing and also a good part of my artwork.
